Mark was responsible for building the IT department for the first Gas Joint Venture (JV) in Egypt. The activities in this project included, but were not limited to:

Enabling an operational IT service for the new JV, including the selection of a third party to build the required environment in accordance with BP standards.
Smooth transition after the completion of the environment
Planning for the transition of remaining IT environments and services
Drafting IT strategies and policies
Building the required organization to carry out IT activities after the handover

Mark was responsible for the transfer of all IT systems related to the assets of the BP oil and gas sites to realize the asset swaps in the North Sea. A significant achievement that Mark managed very well, coordinating the activities of his team and maintaining contacts with the buying company to ensure that the multiple transitions were carried out successfully and on schedule!

Mark is a very open and to-the-point type of manager with strong people management skills. He works very independently, always delivers concrete results, and keeps his promises. Two other key skills of Mark are his very pragmatic approach and his extensive knowledge of the oil gas industry and mergers and acquisitions. I worked pleasantly with Mark at SBM Offshore and would certainly hire him again.

Very hard-working and dedicated PM. Nine to five is not Mark’s approach, Mark doesn’t stop until the job is done, and with quality. I have also never heard Mark complain about the long working hours.
