The activities in this project included, but were not limited to:<\/p><ul><li class=\"\">Enabling an operational IT service for the new JV, including the selection of a third party to build the required environment in accordance with BP standards.<\/li><li class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-listItem\" data-list-indent=\"1\" data-list-type=\"bulleted\">Smooth transition after the completion of the environment<\/li><li class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-listItem\" data-list-indent=\"1\" data-list-type=\"bulleted\">Planning for the transition of remaining IT environments and services<\/li><li class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-listItem\" data-list-indent=\"1\" data-list-type=\"bulleted\">Drafting IT strategies and policies<\/li><li class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-listItem\" data-list-indent=\"1\" data-list-type=\"bulleted\">Building the required organization to carry out IT activities after the handover<\/li><\/ul><p>Mark is a results-oriented person with innovative ideas. He can fit the plans within the constraints of the project to get the optimal solution.<\/p><p>He was involved in negotiations with the government to obtain a cost-covering acceptance that enabled a good project start to achieve a successful delivery. At the end of the project, Mark neatly handed over the responsibility to the first IT manager of the JV.<\/p><p>Mark is a great colleague to work with because he checks and directs his team without imposing his opinion. He works very independently, always delivers concrete results, and keeps his promises. Two other key skills of Mark are his very pragmatic approach and his extensive knowledge of the oil  gas industry and mergers and acquisitions.
